Yesterday

Our holiday in Cornwall was cut short because we wanted to go to Tony's funeral. So many people travelled from afar to say their last goodbye's.

At the crematorium, the cortege was met by this drag racing car, as Tony had been a ' petrol head'.

The service was an hour long as there were several tributes to be read.

After the service the car was taken to the pub and was on display with two American cars, it was like being at a car show.

Alan caught up with many of his friends he had lost touch with, from when he used to be involved in drag racing with Tony. Lots of stories about the cars and races were swapped ending with a burnout from an American Trans Am car, he burnt so much rubber he left holes in the pubs tarmac! The smell bought back memories of Santa Pod.

A very sad day, but Tony would have loved it!

It is such a shame that it often takes a funeral to get people together. A good Xmas present might be tickets to Santa Pod.
