Today, while pottering in the garden, I noticed that the warm weather has brought the ladybirds out from their hibernation. I have never seen so many ladybirds at once, not since the plague we had in 1976.
We are off to Shoebury tonight for a meal with friends of Al's. Just what the doctor ordered after a busy week at work.

Yes, there are a lot of ladybirds, aren't there. When I was teaching at Urchfont last week there were over 50 - all different varieties, black and red - and that was just in my room!
I'm so thankful it's warmer. Actually reached 22deg today!
