Tag Tuesday-Easter Eggs.

A day late but needed daylight rather than artificial light to take a photo of my tag.
Tag made from craft vilene bonded with a paper napkin.  FMS around eggs and background.  Egg made from tissue paper, plasterers' scrim and PVA.  All embellishments from my stash.

Spring Goddess.

The adults involved with our YE group all had to make a 'doll' for yesterdays meeting.  After lots of searching on the Internet and going through my books, and finding that all the patterns would take far too long for the girls to finish in a session .  I needed to find something that was quick and suitable for a wide range of ages
In the end I decided to re-use a pattern that I have had several years, used a zingy green felt and embellished it with pastel coloured sequins so that she could represent Spring.  Blanket stitched round washers and did theedges a'la Kemshall. Just need to find somewhere to hang her.

Tag Tuesday-Goosey

Having so much fun with this challenge.  This weeks theme was certainly a challenge.  I wanted to make my own decal with this image but as the lines are not sharp, it didn't work as well as I had hoped.  In the end I just used the original image, a card I had bought at an exhibition some years ago.  The words come from the song ' A little white duck sitting on the water'.  Orange ric-rac because I love Duck a'la Orange!

Tag Tuesday-Mad March

Not only is it a challenge to make a tag every week, but I have also challenged myself to use only resources in my playroom.
This weeks tag was inspired by Alice's Adventure in Wonderland.  I re-sized both the text and the image.  I stuck the text to a card tag and then coloured it with Brusho.  The image I coloured with Inktense pencils and used water to make the water colour effect.    Once it was cut out, I used sticky pads to apply it to the tag.  I was given a lot of old broken watches by one of my son's friends and one just happened to be the right size for the rabbits hand.  I also used a watch hand for the umbrella handle.  The ric-rac, flower buttons and sticky gem stones came from my stash.

Tag Tuesday - birds

This weeks tag was inspired by the paper napkin that I was given.  A sheet of vintage music with a song about the sea was adhered to my card tag.  When this was dry, I stuck the paper napkin on top of the music, which is still visible.  Although I tried lots of different embellishments, nothing looked right, it made it too busy.  So just went for a few small sea shells.  I shredded some sari silk, to represent seaweed.  Don't know what I shall do for next weeks tag.

At last!!

I have been trying to find a place local to where I live to get some pictures of peacocks for my project.  Today, I was told of a farm local to me that had peacocks and more.  I have never seen so many different types of chickens in one place before.  AND, I got my much needed photos of the peacocks.
Last month, I didn't get to visit many journals in Kate Crane's 366 challenge, so, this month I have decided to view 10 on a daily basis, such lovely work being created, I don't want to miss it.

March journal pages.

My theme for this months page came about because it is World Book Day today.  The Gruffalo is a firm favourite with both my Grandsons and my children in class.
After applying gesso to the pages I then rubbed turquoise and green paint onto top.  A darker green was then sponged through one of my stencils before applying the images of the Gruffalo and mouse cut out from a paper napkin.  It is so lucky that I am a hoarder, because  I had a footprint stamp that Kezzy had when she was a little girl, which I used to stamp over the letters.  (It had come with a Barbie art set when she was about 6).  Back to journalling on plain squares this month.
I have kept my journal up to date as you can see.  Click on the link here to see the work of other journallers taking part in this challenge.
