Waiting for hubby to finish eating his evening meal, gave me time to think about my vessel. The result being that I have decided to make it smaller, 7 1/2" high. After making a proto type in water colour paper, I then cut out the pieces in Craft Vilene and decorated it with moulding paste. Decided to make another triangle vessel as well while I was messing about with the paste.
Just need the paste to dry now.

Just couldn't waste another day, being under the weather, so as the sun was shining, went out and planted my Winter Pansies and Bellis Daisies ready for next Spring.
The picture above is the piece of Carn Pottery I bought when I was in St. Ives this year. I want to use this shape to make a vessel to use in my demo day at Craft Arena. It is only 5" high.
The first thing I do, when creating a vessel is to make it first in paper to check measurements. My vessel is going to be 10" high, at the moment.
I have signed up to join in Kate's ALQS5. I took part in this for the first time this year. It was great fun to do. It will be easier to complete it by the deadline, at this busy time of year as we only have to make it A4 in size.

Beaten.......
By the bug.
When I woke up this morning and sounded like Mutley,(Wacky Races, showing my age) I knew I also needed to see the Doctor. Kezzy and I both have bronchitis (the doctor said, that 'I had a very musical chest' when he listened to it!) We are both on medication and we will both be fighting fit very soon.
Coughing too much to sew, instead I am going to catch up on reading some blogs.

I had to cancel my shopping trip with Diane this morning. Kezzy coughed so much at Air Cadets she fainted, so we are off to the doctors instead!

Back to 'normal'.
During the last couple of days we have travelled well over 700 miles to see relations. Hubby was chauffeur luckily, so I was able to do some stitching while on the various motorways.
This panel is now complete and ready to take to show Pauline at our next FET meeting in a couple of weeks time.
Tomorrow I am out with Diane, shopping at The Range and Ikea. Then in the evening, I hope to start making my vessel ready for the demo day I am doing at Craft Arena on November 20th.
I cant shake my cough off, I am now onto my 4th bottle of medicine!!

Tonight......
I have finished cutting around the flowers. I won't have much to show over the next few days as my mother is coming to stay and we are out and about visiting. Life should be back to' normal' Monday.

Slow progress.
My evening has been spent cutting away the excess fabric from around my stitched flowers, just on half way, another evening's cutting should see this stage finished.

Sampling continued.
Stitching on this sample panel is now complete, now soaking to dissolve the water soluble fabric. Not a very good photo, due to the length and light. I hope to start cutting away the surplus fabrics tomorrow night.
Almost forgot to say, if you have time and want to try a new recipe, you need to make Alisa's cinnamom rolls, they are quick and very tasty.
